God invites us to give an offering to Him, out of the blessings that He has given to us.  This offering is not given out of guilt or reluctantly, but rather given cheerfully, in thankfulness to God.  We worship God through the giving of an offering of time, of talent, and of our treasure.  The Bible clearly teaches this in 2 Corinthians 9:6-11 - that our generosity is a reaction of thankfulness to God for all that He has given to us.
